Bird Watching

Nine members of the sailing club meet for a social event, bird watching on the Taw river at Fremington we started by walking up the pill a small tributary of the Taw.
The amongst the birds such as Red Shank, Green Shank, Spotted Red Shank, Common Sand Piper and for some of us Glossy Ibis.
After a Coffee we started out along the cycle track turning off into a area known as Home Farm Marsh a Rewilding project run by the Gaia Trust which gave us wonderful views over the river to RSPB Isley Marsh spotting birds including Lapwing, Oystercatchers, Shelduck, Heron, Little Egret, Spoonbill,
We returned along the Cycle track to a well earned lunch at Fremington.
